Pee Wee's Perform Big!

On Sunday, September 15th, the Blue Diamond Pee Wee squad competed in their first competition of the year, the 2002 Mid-South Cheer and Dance Competition sponsored by Shelby Youth Sports. Of 7 squads in the Bantam division, the Diamond's littlest squad brought home an impressive 2nd place trophy, that was bigger in size than many of the squad's members. We are all very proud of the Pee Wee's, and are looking forward to seeing them compete with the Jr.'s and Sr,'s at the Mid-South Fair!

First Competition a Success!

Both the Jr. & Sr. Coed Diamond teams brought home 1st place trophies from the UCA St. Louis Six Flags Competition Series, on Saturday, September 7th. The teams gave great performances, and then headed into the park for fun on some of the best rollercoasters in the country! Everyone had a great weekend, and is now looking forward to the next competition on September 29th, at the Mid-South Fair. We hope to see everyone there!

What a Weekend!

The Blue Diamonds did some serious impressing March 9 & 10 in Orlando at the 2002 UCA National All Star Cheerleading Championship. After some exceptional performances on Saturday, Jr. Coed came away with third place, and the Sr. Coed team came home as the national champion runners-up! These are the best national finishes ever for Blue Diamond teams, and all of our supporters were so proud. On Sunday the Junior 4 Girl Stunt Group and Senior Coed Partner Stunt Group wowed the crowd against some tough competition, and both walked away with 6th place trophies! ASC Nationals

After 2 days of competition in St. Louis, MO, the BDAS Senior Coed team traveled home with a 6th place trophy under their belt. The team was very anxious to get back in the gym and improve their outstanding talents in preparation for their next competition in Orlando, FL. Congratulations Senior! We're so proud of you!

National Champs!

December 15 & 16, , the Blue Diamonds attended the Athletic Cheer & Dance National Championships in Tunica, MS. After two days of amazing performances by all three teams, both the Sr. Coed and Jr. Coed teams came away with third place finishes, and the Jr. Prep squad became National Champs! Diamonds also claimed 1st & 2nd place finishes in the PeeWee cheer individual category, 1st in Youth Stunt, and 2nd in Senior Partner Stunt. Congratulations to all of the Blue Diamond members! You all shines under some of the worst circumstances to be faced with. We are all so proud of you!
